Everything started on a trip to Key Biscayne back in 2000 when we were dating, we stopped by the former Farmer’s Market to shop for cheese and goodies. We really liked the shop and, on our way back I told her: “Someday I will own a store like this.”
Nine years later, living in Atlanta, GA, with two little kids, and one the way, I received a phone call from a good friend asking me if I could help as a consultant to a local business in Key Biscayne that was struggling. It just happened that it was the former Farmer’s Market! I couldn’t believe what I had just heard. Later on, I ended up buying the business and by 2015 I quit my corporate job, and we relocated to KB to dedicate full time to something that we are truly passionate about. Focusing on customer service, product selection and quality; while hiring talented employees and understanding our customer’s needs along with a ton of hard work has been the path to make The Golden Hog what it is today.
